Owner Liz Napoli is certified in all levels of both mat and equipment Pilates. She has attended countless continuing education workshops and has special certifications to work with seniors and pregnant women, and individuals who need modified Pilates for physical rehabilitation. A survivor herself, Liz is also uniquely equipped to help those with PTSD heal themselves through movement.

In 2002 Liz tried Pilates and was hooked immediately. She spent two years becoming certified and holds an Advanced Certification through Power Pilates. During her nearly 15 years of practice, Liz has taught people of all ages the benifits of pilates. In Austin she taught at Body Business, The McPhail School of Dance, and her own studio Lizcore Pilates. In 2007, Liz moved her studio to Sacremento. In addition she taught pilates in San Francisco at The Pilates Studio in Tiburon and at Body Kinetics in Novato.

In 2013 Liz Napoli purchased Hunt Pilates and moved to Sherman Oaks. Pilates has been a true journey for Liz and it continues still. In her words, "I have thrived in my life primarily because my Pilates education never ends. Anytime I've been presented with an obstacle to my health or happiness I have poured my energy into Pilates. Using Pilates to fix myself resulted in true growth that has given me a special take on Pilates. I say it all day long; Joseph Pilates was a very smart man. I believe I fully understand exactly what he figured out nearly 100 years ago. I know how to teach that. I can make anyone's game better with Pilates."

Living happy and healthy each day is what makes Liz stand out. She has faced some giant hurdles and each time came out better than ever because of Pilates. Her life's challenges have gifted Liz a unique talent for teaching. She teaches with a true and full understanding of the many layers of the method. With Liz you will learn proper movement and abandon leverage forever.

"Pilates is not only about building long, lean muscles and a toned body. Pilates is necessary for the important functions of your body to work properly. Processing anxiety, digestion, circulation, breathing, everything works better when Pilates is lifting your spine out of the daily punishment of gravity. A body without Pilates is like a tree with strong limbs and a rotten trunk. Contrary to popular misconception, Pilates is not just about dancers. Joseph fixed and improved many dancers in his New York studio which was located next door to a school of dance. That's where the dance connection begins and ends. Certainly if you are a dancer, you should be doing pilates. If you are a Boxer you should do it. Golfer, do it. Runner, do it. Pilates can help any athlete excel at their sport. If you move for a living, which we all do, then do Pilates as well! Pilates is for everyone of all ages. As we grow older, gravity takes a huge toll on our spines, crushing nerves to our organs and limbs. Pilates helps correctly align our spines and keep our neural pathways open. Joseph developed a method of movement. A method you take out of the studio into your daily life. It helps you feel better and become truly strong."

Liz learned Pilates to heal herself, then mastered the art of teaching Pilates to help others. She teaches the classical method of movement as Joseph Pilates intended. She does so with a sense of humor and a caring heart. Pilates continues to make Liz an everlasting survivor and she will never stop also having fun while she's working.
